Madison Heights, a suburb of Detroit, is a vibrant community in Oakland County, Michigan, known for its dense suburban atmosphere and being one of the best places to live in the state. With a population of 28,719, it offers a unique blend of small-town charm and metropolitan convenience.

Our featured station has undergone a significant renovation, transforming a classic building into a space that exudes both nostalgia and modernity. Perfectly situated within the community and adjacent to a major roadway, the station stands as a shining example of functionality and comfort.

The administration has gone above and beyond to equip the station for both the rigorous demands of day-to-day operations and the well-being of the staff during downtime. A standout feature is the new decontamination area, thoughtfully designed to ensure the safety of the crew by reducing the risk of cross-contamination.

The Madison Heights Fire Department prides itself on its highly skilled staff, trained in a broad spectrum of emergency response disciplines. With a structure that has all members serving as Firefighter Paramedics, personnel regularly rotate between the Rescue Ambulance and the Fire Apparatus. Additionally, they have the opportunity to train in specialized areas such as Hazardous Materials (HazMat), high-angle rope rescues, trench rescues, and collapse rescue operations.
