Nakalele Point on Maui is a land mass located on the eastern edge of the northern tip of the island. Nakalele, which translates to “the leaning”, is famous for its active blowhole. Due to the pressure of the waves, oftentimes water will shoot out of Nakalele Point’s tire-sized blowhole. Nakalele Blowhole is surrounded by jet-black lava rock and can shoot water up to 100 feet in the air!
