Ramin Javadi is a PhD student in electrical and computer engineering. He is working on the third iteration of a new chip that is 40-60% more energy efficient than current state-of-the-art technology.

This chip could help reduce power consumption of data centers that are using large amounts of power to support AI applications like ChatGPT.

Lead researcher, Tejasvi Anand, and his team are using machine learning to train a classifier to undo the corruption during data transfer. They put the classifier on the chip using Intel 16 nanometer technology. #electricalengineering #computerengineering #oregonstateuniversity #engineering
