Turkeys are bright, intelligent and loving animals who can not only fly at speeds of up to 50mph but who enoy a good chat with their friends. They deserve our respect for being the magnificent creatures they are, not to be stabbed in the neck and murdered so we can eat their flesh. Go vegan and leave turkeys off your plate forever.

Cissie Braithwaite and Ada Shufflebotham are two housewives from Lancashire) in Northern England, created and played by the comedian Les Dawson and the comic actor Roy Barraclough on television in the 1970s and 1980s. With a love of gossip, stoical pursing of lips and constantly heaved bosoms, Cissie and Ada became a hit with the British public.
