Welcome back into our garden!

Today, we're diving into a satisfying project: building a flight of steps using the stones which I stored after opening the wall for the door opening on the first floor. Sustainability meets creativity in this endeavor as we repurpose materials to create a functional and visually appealing flight of steps from the upper terrace to the roof terrace.

I am cementing the stones into place and apply a thick layer of lime render to fill gaps and crevices between the stones. After the render has set for approx 24 hours I brush the excess render off so that the surfaces of the stones are revealed and the render shows a nice texture.
