Framing Tour of the New House

I want to give you guys a really quick tour of the new house we’re building- The framers have been super busy.
Here you can see we’ve got a side entrance garage- I like good light in a garage so we made sure to put plenty of windows.
This section in the front is where I’ll keep my tools- it’s a suspended floor, there’s actually a room below.
Heading from the garage into the house there’s a desk area on the right and the laundry room on the left.
The master bedroom is straight ahead and the master bath and closet are over there.
Next, we have the kitchen with a pantry. Here’s where the fridge goes, nice big island in the middle, there’s where the range goes, and dining room straight ahead.
We really tried to maximize the views out of the back of the house.
This is the great room with 14-foot vaulted ceilings. We’ll put a fireplace between those two windows.
For some reason the New Guy says he feels like we’re always looking down on him.
There’s three bedrooms upstairs. This room right here will be a rec room.
And we did put in an elevator shaft- I’m not sure if we’ll put an elevator in at this point, but at lease the shaft is installed.
The framers are planning to set trusses next week. I’ll be glad to have it dried in.
