This is the oldest writing system discovered by the ancient Sumerians, around 3200 years BC, which was used to record government rules, history and economic administration. Named cuneiform, it is made by scratching clay with reed stems, and after the writing is formed, the clay block is dried by drying or burning until the writing is permanently printed.
