“What Is Gone Is All Still Here” is a tour doc directed by Logan Pilcher. This was shot in the fall of 2024 while Staples was opening shows with Ocie Elliott and takes place in three cities: Minneapolis, Madison, and Chicago.

The film features live performances as well as interviews and is a snapshot of life on the road as Staples experienced it: driving, interacting with fans and staff, performing, and sharing a little road philosophy. Pilcher, who is a talented filmmaker and musician, beautifully captures the stages, the green rooms, and the roads that connect them.
