Hopefully this will help those who are having trouble starting up their Mac and are getting stuck at the Apple logo. I don't know if this is something that only happens to Intel Macs or also happens with the current version of Macs. If you are having this problem you basically have to Start up from a rescue recovery drive and go into the extensions folder of the drive with the system that is stuck and examine the KEXT files and see which ones may be causing the problem and remove them.
Be very careful and make a copy of things before you start to remove or delete.
