Recorded at Egrem Studios in Centro Havana, the very same studio in which the famous Buena Vista Social Club was recorded. And this is the same Steinway grand piano made famous by Rubén González on that album, who incidentally was a piano teacher for Rolando Luna, the Cuban pianist featured here who now tours with the Buena Vista Social Club and Omara Portuondo.

MISTA SAVONA - HORNS OF CUBA EP

A beautiful collection of horns instrumentals, recorded in Havana, Cuba and featuring the sublime trumpet of Cuban maestro Julito Padrón.

The rhythm section is exemplary, featuring Jamaican heavyweights Sly & Robbie and a host of other wonderful musicians including Changuito (Los Van Van), Rolando Luna and Gaston Joya (Buena Vista Social Club), as well as members of Irakere and Interactivo.

These sessions were mostly recorded at Egrem Studios in Centro Habana (where the Buena Vista Social Club album was recorded), with the notable exception of 'Siempre Horns' which was recorded at Tuff Gong Studios in Kingston, Jamaica (Bob Marley's famous studio).
