This video shares a rendition of a James and John Johnson composition (the original "Brothers Johnson") entitled "Lift Every Voice and Sing". Often referred to as the "Black National Anthem" the song has endured and has it's place in the pantheon of anthems.

I wanted to capture the emotion and meaning exemplified in the lyrics with several twists and turns via key modulations to represent the twists and turns we all endure in the struggle to improve the human condition.
