Who is Teddy Black?

In a short period of time, this emerging artist has already added a few impressive milestones to his growing resume, including releases on Vicious Black, remixes for respected house heads Random Soul & Inaya Day for onelove and plus a very successful production & DJ Career in a previous life.

Downcity is Teddy Black’s first original release on onelove and what a way to start. Downcity blurs the lines between deep house and garage, with the help from Cas on vocals it’s a record that wouldn’t be out of place at a beach party in Ibiza or a warehouse party in Sydney, it’s that versatile. Think Ten Walls making a vocal record.

Leading the charge on the remix package we have Defected signee Man Without A Clue, fresh from his collaboration with Todd Terry & remix for S-Man, MWAC has taken it underground with a brilliant combination of chopped up vocals, moody builds and driving basslines to come up with something special. We’ve enlisted the help of two up and Aussie producers to complete the package, Perth whiz kid Parakord, fresh off remixes for Sweat It Out & JCKD delivers a driving bass house remix and finally Rouge a feel good up beat house number.
