Therapist analyzed the lyrics of Wasted Years by Iron Maiden to discuss the value of finding contentment in the present moment. We live in a culture of discontentment, so being happy in the present is a difficult task and requires a shifting of our gaze. If we are always looking ahead and thinking "I'll be happy when," we miss out on the amazing moments that are happening right now. We have to intentionally shift our gaze back to the present moment with an attitude of gratitude, so as to not waste the years we've been given.#ironmaiden
