"Let Me Call You Sweetheart" was first recorded by the Peerless Quartet(1911!) and released on Columbia 1057. It was a big hit and reached #1 on the "charts"(most sold sheet music). Besides the cover version sung by Arthur Clough (#2, the same year), no one ever had a hit record with this song.
