GDA Introduces online facility to buy round 1629 vacant flats under various housing schemes
October 25, 2023: In a positive development, the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) has introduced an online facility for selling unsold properties under the First Come First Serve housing scheme. The per unit costs for available flats under the scheme range from Rs 5.7 lakh for EWS units to Rs 69.42 lakh for a 3 BHK unit.
The Ghaziabad Development Authority rolls out various housing schemes for the citizens. However, many flats remain unsold in these housing schemes. At present, a total of 1629 flats across eight housing schemes are lying vacant. The online facility provided by the GDA will enable people to buy a house in these housing schemes. The interested candidates can apply for the vacant houses via the website of Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA).
The GDA wishes to encash upon the buying mood this festive season. The online facility will provide a convenient way to book the vacant flats. The online booking facility will not require the applicant to come to the office of GDA.

The GDA (Government Development Authority) in April 2022 approved the Ghaziabad Master Plan 2031 PDF for Loni and Muradnagar/Modinagar. The board also approved the PPA (Public Private Partnership) model for ropeway projects in the city. Surendra Singh, the divisional commissioner and chairperson of the authority, led the board meeting.
The Ghaziabad Master Plan 2031 PDF is a GIS or Geographic Information System-based. It proposes around 95 hectares of additional housing development in 3 areas, which include approximately 50 hectares of land in Ghaziabad.
Ghaziabad city has 522 square kilometres of geographical area, and the master plan lays out different areas according to their land use. The land use kinds include commercial, industrial, residential, etc.
The draft of the Ghaziabad development authority master plan 2031 was approved in the board meeting. Surendra Singh stated that the draft would move to the public objection stage. After that, it will be sent to the state (Uttar Pradesh) government for final approval .
