Before I start building the flat roof on the bathroom I want to have the opening door into the master bedroom prepared. As this is a load-bearing wall I will need to put reinforcements in place to prevent the roof and wall from collapsing. A serious job!

As a conventional concrete or oak lintel would lead to a decrease in headroom in the door opening I come with my own solution; an IPN build in wood. This provides all the support it needs but the reduction in headroom is significantly reduced.
