In the seventh episode of Egil's Saga (Chapters 58-63) Egil Skallagrimsson travels to England and must meet with his enemies King Eric Bloodaxe and Queen Gunnhilda. For his life, Egil must recite his most important stave yet. Will he survive? Reading from the 1893 translation by WC Green which is in the public domain. This story was first written down in Iceland in 1240 AD by "Anonymous" but many people believe it to be the work of Snorri Sturluson.
