"I got fired because I called off sick." I hear that all the time, especially from you all in my comments. The fact that so many people have had the same experience is a big problem.
No matter what industry you're in, why on earth would you want your employees to come in while they're sick? Not only is it unsafe for everyone around them, but it's a f*cked up way to treat anyone.
We are humans. We get sick sometimes, or maybe our kids get sick, and we need to be home with them. Workers are people who have lives outside of their jobs, so why are you treating them like machines?
As a boss, if you don't understand that, you're not fit for leadership.
