All four of their early 1980s albums reached the Top 25 of the R&B chart, with the debut, called The Two of Us, hitting No. 1. Those records featured seven Top 20 R&B hit singles, including a pair of dancefloor-ready chart-toppers in “Don’t Stop the Music” and “Don’t Waste Your Time.” Here, they talk about the surprising beginnings of "Don't Stop the Music," which over an extended period transformed from a ballad into one of the most popular dance anthems of its time.
