‘High energy prices are caused by politics’: Chris Bowen slammed for gas review

The Daily Telegraph’s Tim Blair is blaming Energy Minister Chris Bowen for using “politics” to fix the gas situation in Australia.

Mr Bowen’s turnaround on gas has meant he is launching a review into the industry.

“The problems that have led to our high energy prices have all been caused by politics,” Mr Blair told Sky News host Danica De Giorgio.

“We’ve got gas, we’ve got oil, we’ve got coal, we’ve got uranium, we’ve got so much stuff that energy should be basically free in Australia.

“His proposal to fix the situation, fix the situation caused by too much politics, is to add more politics.”
