This cinematic style ambient synthwave piece was created for a mystery thriller film. I wanted to create something a little mysterious sounding for today and create emotion while not traveling too far. I'm also still exploring the reverse hybrid orchestra sound, where the electronics are out in front, and the orchestra is supporting the synthesizers more like a piano concerto. I'm using the Buchla 208c Easel Command as a percussion instrument along with the Moog Grandmother, which is using a pitch sequence from the DFAM to make rhythm in the hard sync of the 2nd oscillator. The ARP-2600 is doing the slower arpeggios to rub against the main pulse, and I'm using an OB-6 module for the pads.

Patch Notes:
Clock is coming from the DFAM and driving the whole system. Euroack is used for effects and stereo imaging via a Make Noise Erbeverb, a 4ms Tapographic Delay, an X-Pan controlled by an Intellijel Quadrax and Tangle Quartet, a Boss RC-5 looper pedal, and an Eventide H9 pedal.
Moog DFAM:
Pitch out to pitch in of oscillator 2 on Grandmother
Moog Grandmother:
Oscillator 2 set to hard sync and drone envelope mode, which makes a static bass note with the harmonics changing to create rhythm
Buchla Easel Command:
Envelope Generator to low pass gates
Sequential Voltage to pitch of complex oscillator
Complex oscillator keyboard mode off
Modulation oscillator controlled by Make Noise 0-ctrl and set to sawtooth wave for bass
Random Voltage to timbre, modulation, sustain, and number of sequencer steps
ARP-2600
Using the ring modulation with oscillators 1 and 2 tuned to near unison to create phase cancellation sound. Oscillator 2 triangle wave is also being used.
Sequential Circuits OB-6
Sawtooth on oscillator 1
Triangle on oscillator 2 tuned an octave up
VCO2 modulating filter frequency and filter mode
