Stone Fox first appeared as an instrumental cut in 1966 on the "Sings Raw Soul" album. Also in 1966 Mike Williams released a James Brown produced vocal version


Mike Williams also released a vocal version of the "Cold Sweat" "track "Back Stabbin'"

1967 James Crawford released his James Brown produced version


In 1968 James Brown laid down his own vocals which appeared on the "I Got The Feelin'" LP. Not before James Crawford who also covered the song in 1967 which appeared on the 1968 LP "James Brown presents his Show of Tomorrow".
