When I’m producing an original track, I follow a clear process:

1️⃣ I Define a theme
2️⃣ Find samples or quotes on that theme
3️⃣ Open Bitwig, fire up my synths and start working on the track.

But remixing that’s a different story.🤔
I spent a lot of time reflecting on this subject but then I realized, what if I produced an Ollie track that includes the main theme of the original and every sound I like about it? 🤓

Suddenly things became clearer, I only had to find the bits & pieces I like about the original, include them in my main Bitwig template, then add my sounds to them.
And to make sure I stick to the main theme of the track, I sometimes intentionally leave a few sounds playing in the same order as the original. 😎

This is how my remix of lifeforms by Z3naki & Mental bugs was born😍
