Kon’nichiwa! Join us this week as we once again make a journey to the far east to the land of the rising sun. This time we jump back to the decade when the western world was introduced to the thunder from Osaka and the lightning from Tokyo. A time when the samurai wielded electric guitars and made the statement to the world that they were a force to reckoned with… This week we welcome the return of the shogun – 80’s Japanese Metal!


What’s this InObscuria thing? We’re a podcast that exhumes obscure Rock n' Punk n' Metal and puts them in one of 3 categories: the Lost, the Forgotten, or the Should Have Beens. We do apologize in advance to Japanese and Japanese-speaking people for all mispronunciations and extreme naivete of Japanese culture and history! This is completely a Westerner’s take on the 1980’s Japanese heavy metal where many of us were first turned on to this country’s amazingly talented rock musicians.
