With heart, vinyl, and an unmistakable energy, Sabine Hoffmann has been shaping Berlin’s club scene since the early 2000s. Her musical roots run deep in hip-hop, soul, and funk – but it was her passion for electronic sounds that ultimately defined her artistic journey. Sabine’s love for the analog world is felt in every one of her sets. Through her pure vinyl performances, she creates sonic journeys spanning techno, electro, Chicago and Detroit house, infused with acid, funk, and breakbeats.

As the founder of the event series "Frauengedeck," she provides a platform for female DJs – not only in legendary Berlin venues like ://about blank, Salon zur wilden Renate, and the Kantine am Berghain, but also internationally, from Armenia to Georgia. Since 2016, Sabine has been a vital part of the OYE Records team, curating club events, in-store performances, and hosting the OYE podcast series.

In her interview with Andre Kronert, Sabine opens up about thrilling moments before her sets, the origin stories and heartfelt missions behind her event series "Frauengedeck" and "Dub Nation," her early encounters with electronic music – and of course, her deep passion for vinyl. For Sabine, DJing is about more than just technique: it’s about feeling – and sometimes, that means letting a needle jump if it keeps the music alive and raw.
