World renowned DJ & Producer Cajjmere Wray (aka: CCW) has been a staple in the house music/club scene globally over the past 10 years.
Cajjmere’s music production hit the music charts initially when he connected with legendary DJ/Producer Peter Rauhofer in 2005. His various production on the Star 69 imprint (including his remix of Kobbe & Leeds ‘Bodyshaker’) earned him high praise not only by Rauhofer, but also by many DJ’s who began to support his work.
Currently in the studio he’s had the pleasure of officially remixing many of the world’s greatest talents including: Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Girlicious, Mariah Carey, Nelly Furtado, Jennifer Hudson, Deborah Cox and Oscar G to name only a few. His amazing repertoire of private works includes hits by: Kylie Minogue, Adele, Gotye, Britney Spears and many others.
Cajjmere’s remix of Fired Up by The Girl is true masterpiece, here is what he had to say about this project :
“Fired Up" is one of those classic NYC underground house records that was screaming for a re-issue, primarily because the vocal still has such a raw edge to it, even to this day. I traveled to Manhattan to buy it on vinyl in the 90's, and I always knew that I wanted to remix it someday. When Eightball came across the original master tapes and offered to let me work on remixes for 2016, I was extremely honored by their invitation. My goal was to keep some of that raw energy, reminiscent of the New York classic 'Sound Factory' heydays, and tie it in with my take on today's NYC sound. The mixes take you on a unique journey, and flourish with drama in all the right places that the dance floor children will live for.”
