SpaceX successfully fired up their Super Heavy booster and Starship booster for the first time on a launch pad on Tuesday, August 9th.

This marks a major milestone in the development of their Starship deep-space transportation system.

In July, SpaceX tested a spin start test with all the 33 engines simultaneously. Then, the ground-based test of the Super Heavy rocket ended in flames at SpaceX's launch site in South Texas. A fire burned for more than an hour.

SpaceX's just successfully completed a static fire test of their Starship and Super Heavy engines on Tuesday, August 9th. In July, Space X tested a spin start test with all the 33 engines simultaneously. Then the ground based test of the Super Heavy rocket ended in flames at Space X's launch site in South Texas.
SpaceX founder Elon Musk stated on Twitter that the test was not good and that the next test would not be done with all three engines at once.
SpaceX has envisioned a large capacity launch vehicle.
Both starship stages are designed for rapid reuse after a vertical landing.
Starship is designed to deliver 100 tons to low-Earth orbit.
A full scale orbital test flight is expected to take place by the end of 2022.
