Shoutout to Mick who asked about this fill. It appears on Gary Numan's song "M.E.", from the album "The Pleasure Principle" - at 3:11 on the track, and was played by the late Cedric Sharpley.

It's an interesting little thing and could definitely be used elsewhere, either as it is or just as a cool starting point for your own idea I'd say.
