The 2022 Acura NSX Type S (~$225,000 CAD as specced, $187,000 USD as specced) is up against a piece of its own history - the 1999 Alex Zanardi Edition NSX ($A LOT CAD, $ TOO MUCH USD). With only 51 road-going examples made exclusively for the American market, the Alex Zanardi Edition NSX is rare, ultra-lightweight, and can be considered as the North American equivalent of the Japan-only NSX Type S from yesteryear. The new 2022 NSX Type S is a hybrid, has three electric motors and all-wheel drive. It also has more than double the horsepower of the Zanardi Edition. But does more power evoke more emotion?
