One of my favourite Motown girls, this former beauty queen and chat show host had a flair and a graciousness that elevated her among her contemporaries. A tragic loss to the Motown family, one who I especially miss deeply. Syreeta wrote this song with me and demoed it especially for Barbara, who seemed so genuinely glad and grateful to be back in the studios again. Recorded at Entourage Studios, in Hollywood, in April 1990, then remixed into a real Northern Soul stomper by the late Clive Scott, back on 2004. Now in 2022 it has turned into a real dance floor success due to the amazing support of Natalie Harrison, who plays it every week on her podcasts. It took thirty one years so see life as a vinyl 45, but so well worth the wait.
