Some exchange $1, some exchange a performance, some exchange a hug, some exchange a secret. And when one girl tried to exchange a poorly written letter, she wasn't happy, so the girl made a performance for her with jumping rope.
In reality, the woman doesn't care too much what she got in exchange. She didn't want the children to feel like they are a charity case. She wanted them to feel like they earned their gifts.
