The Volvo XC40 is the subcompact-to-compact crossover vehicle in the Volvo line. The Volvo XC90 won the North American Truck of the Year along with so many other awards that it is the winning-est luxury SUV of all time. Recently, the XC60 won the World Car of the Year Award. This XC40 enters the market just a little bit bigger than the competition and with more standard power thanks to 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder and 248hp. The XC40 comes with standard AWD in Canada and an 8-speed automatic transmission. The XC40 is a compact crossover, or SUV with seating for 5-passengers over three rows of seats. it starts at $39,500 in the Canadian market with the R-Design starting at $34,700. The XC40 compact utility has room for 5-passenger and a surprising amount of cargo space, in fact it has more room than much of the competition.
