10. Afriyie Acquah. $4 million
He is a midfielder for Yeni Malatyaspor and was born on January 5, 1992 in Accra. Ebenezer Afriyie Acquah began his career at the Glentoran Football Academy in Sunyani, Ghana, founded by Sunyani native Christopher Forsythe. He is one of Ghana's wealthiest footballers. During his time at Glentoran, Acquah was named "Best Ghanaian Midfielder Under-14." Acquah, who ranks tenth on our list of Ghana's wealthiest footballers, is known for his athletic ability as a powerful and quick footballer. He learned Italian from his tutor after moving to Italy in 2010. Some of the notable Italian clubs for which the Ghanaian midfielder has played include Palermo, Parma on loan, Torino, and Empoli.
9. John Boye – $5 million
Boye began his career at Schwepps' youth academy alongside Mohammed Iddi before moving on to Pro Consult Sports Academy and Miracle FC. Boye is a defender for Ghana's national team and is ranked ninth on the list of the richest footballers in Ghana. John Boye's primary position is center-back, but he is also capable of playing right and left back. He is paid approximately $600,000 per year. FC Metz, his current club, signed him on July 21, 2018. He was born in Accra, Ghana on April 23, 1987.
8. Kwadwo Asamoah – $6 million
Kwadwo Asamoah, also known as Kojo, is a Ghanaian professional footballer who currently represents his country. He began his professional career in 2008 with the Italian club Udinese, and his consistent performances drew the attention of European clubs. He joined Juventus in 2012, and with his enthusiasm, adaptability, and technical skills, he helped the team win six consecutive Serie A titles between 2013 and 2018, among other titles, despite injury limiting his appearances in his later seasons. He joined Inter in 2018. At the international level, he has represented Ghana in four Africa Cup of Nations competitions and two FIFA World Cups. He was named CAF's Most Promising African Player in 2010 and Ghana Player of the Year twice in a row in 2012 and 2013. His annual salary is around $3 million, and he is ranked eighth on this list of Ghana's richest football players.
