Recently, Turkey announced that it plans to join BRICS. This was made known by the spokesman of the Turkish President, Omer Celik. He said ““Our president has already expressed multiple times that we wish to become a member of BRICS, "and"Our request in this matter is clear, and the process is proceeding within this framework.” Now the reason why this is a big news is that Turkey is a member of NATO and also an aspiring member of the European Union.
