Porno Breaks, Andy Durrant, Dan Smith aka Andy D & D:K:S, met 20 years ago and hit it off straight away with their love of all things dark, dirty and sticky.
Since 2005, the boys have released several tracks on the up & coming breaks label Control Breaks, including Dr Satan & Rhythm Skism. More recently their infamous collection of official remixes for artists such as Underworld, X-press 2 & Scissor Sisters has created a demand for the duo’s production skills. A flurry of remix activity has followed, with labels such as Born Idle, Sinister, Bassrock, Sold Out Breaks, SIC Recordings & Wut Eva all employing their services.
As well as appealing to the likes of Hybrid, Nick Thayer, Nick Fanciulli & Laurent Garnier, their unique blend of Techno & Breaks has given the duo a great ability to straddle both scenes, with Andy D playing alongside big names such as Trentemoller, Aquasky, Soul of Man, Paul Woolford & Colin Dale. The rest of this year is already looking very busy for the boys, with Porno Breaks booked across the UK festival circuit, as well as dates set for Vienna, Rome, Ibiza, Brazil & Argentina later in the year.

Dan Smith, As a young teenager experimenting with 4-track recorders in the 1990s, he quickly discovered the vast difference between his creations and commercially available tracks. The search for the elusive ‘perfect sound’ unwittingly became a lifelong passion and career. With almost 30 years of experience in music studios.

He had been in recording studios since the age of 12 and by the age of 22 had released over 20 breakbeat and house records, but nothing could prepare him for the world of audio mastering.

His journey into mastering was a crazy one that he had never planned. In less than 18 months, he went from being a product manager at a small breakbeat vinyl distributor to co-owner of one of the best mastering studios in the world.

Mastering studios include Finyl Tweek and Fluid Mastering. He also worked at Heathmans Mastering.
Founded Sic Recordings in 2007.
He is songwriter / producer in I Said No.

Dan Smith, Cuando era un joven adolescente que experimentaba con grabadoras de 4 pistas en los años noventa, descubrió rápidamente la gran diferencia entre sus creaciones y las pistas comercializadas. La búsqueda del esquivo «sonido perfecto» se convirtió sin quererlo en una pasión y una carrera de por vida. Con casi 30 años de experiencia en estudios musicales.

Metido en estudios de grabación desde los 12 años y a los 22 ya había publicado más de 20 discos de breakbeat y house, pero nada podía prepararle para el mundo de la masterización de audio.

Su viaje a la masterización fue un viaje alocado que nunca había planeado. En menos de 18 meses, paso de ser jefe de producto en una pequeña distribuidora de vinilos de breakbeat a copropietario de uno de los mejores estudios de masterización del mundo.

Entre sus estudios de masterización se encuentran Finyl Tweek y Fluid Mastering. También ha trabajado en Heathmans Mastering.
Fundó Sic Recordings en 2007.
