Phil Spector: founded his own record label, Philles, and created his legendary "wall of sound".
George Martin: started producing records for EMI in the early 1950s, mostly jazz, classical music and comedy. In the summer of 1962 the Beatles walked into his Abbey Road studios, three times, to record Love Me Do and the rest, as they say, is history...
