Jacob always loved music, but it wasn’t until he surrendered to Christ that he understood its true purpose. Once playing for applause, his guitar now served an audience of One.
Each Sunday, he led worship at a small church where God’s presence was tangible. As they sang “Holy, Holy, Holy,” he saw Mrs. Henderson, frail from cancer, lift her hands. Young Tommy, unsure of his identity, sang freely. Tears fell. Burdens lifted. Heaven touched earth.
His hands—once used for self-glory—now became vessels of grace. Every chord a prayer, every melody a bridge between earth and eternity.
One evening, after a week of spiritual warfare, Jacob sat alone, overwhelmed by doubt. His job barely paid the bills, family struggles lingered, and lies whispered: “Your worship doesn’t matter.”
His guitar sat in the corner like a challenge. But a deeper truth stirred. He picked it up—not for performance, but survival. As he played “It Is Well With My Soul,” peace returned. Darkness fled. Identity was restored.
He realized worship wasn’t about Sunday songs—it was warfare, surrender, and eternal language. Each note defied despair. Every lyric exalted truth.
As the final chord faded, Jacob remembered: it was never about skill or spotlight, but the King.
“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.” (Psalm 150:6)
Not just the talented—but everyone. Every breath, every note, an offering of glory.
Jacob smiled. Battles would come, but so would the music. And through it, the light would always break in.
