Formed in 1959 in Lexington, Kentucky, The Magnificent 7 were comprised of seven white dudes led by lead singer Tony Stallard. The group had been known as The Temptashuns until they quite obviously had to change their group name to The Magnificent 7 to avoid confusion. They recorded on various labels from 1960 through 1968 including Federal, Lemco, Eastern and Symbol before signing with Dial Records for this wonderful cover version of the classic Smokey Robinson And The Miracles ballad, Ooh, Baby Baby in 1968.
