John's notorious "lost weekend", which lasted about 18 months. John split up with Yoko and lived with their assistant, May Pang.
Despite heavy drinking sessions with friends, Harry Nilsson, Keith Moon, Micky Dolenz and others, this was a very creative part of John's solo career. It included the notorious Phil Spector sessions whilst recording the Rock'n'Roll album, Walls and Bridges and the bootleg album of John's final jam session with Paul, released as, A Toot and a Snore in '74.
John went back to Yoko shortly after his last live performance, with Elton John on 28 November 1974.
