Safety is always our top priority, so we took plenty of precautions during this risky DIY project. We secured everything to the house and brave Mandy even rocked a safety harness. But hey, even with even with these preparations, there's always room for unexpected surprises!

The old chimney had been causing major damp problems for decades, and we couldn't stand the thought of it ruining our home any longer. With rubble dropping onto the road and garden, it was just a obnoxious blight we had to tackle head-on.

But that's not all! We've also been working on removing the lime mortar from the entire rear of the house. With limited sun exposure, this area had become a massive damp trap. No worries, though, we've got a plan to smarten it up and give it that rustic farmhouse feel!
