The Emory Student Shadows Program formed as a partnership between local Teach for America teachers/Emory Alumni working in the Atlanta community and Emory undergraduates. Looking to expose high school students to college life, the program pairs every high school student with an Emory undergraduate and allows them to go through a typical "day in the life" of a college student. The students sat in on a class, toured the campus, experienced Wonderful Wednesday, and spoke with their Emory guides about the University and their futures.
Ultimately, the aim was to give high school students a tangible and realistic conception of the academic and extra-curricular rigors of University life while also exposing them to the incredible diverse community that Emory has to offer.
