Mayor Mike Duggan and city leaders will celebrate the opening and cut the ribbon on the first Detroit office for AECOM a global infrastructure consulting firm, and the latest Fortune 500 company to establish a presence in Detroit. AECOM delivers professional services on projects spanning transportation, buildings, water, new energy, and the environment for public- and private-sector clients around the world. AECOM joins Google, Majorel, and other Fortune 500 companies who have established offices in Detroit in recent years.
AECOM is the lead design team on the Gordie Howe International Bridge and new U.S. Port of Entry in Detroit. The company is also serving as project manager helping the city approve and implement more than 70 projects funded by the city's $826 million American Rescue Plan Act allocation.
