For my first YouTube bass cover I chose the epic and exhilarating Tom Sawyer, by Rush. I transcribed and performed this as close to the original recording as I possibly could. I’ve seen a lot of “wrong” transcriptions of this song, so I did my best to get this one right! In keeping with the Tom Sawyer bass tradition, I also included the bass synth part, since all the transcriptions and many of the performances I’ve seen also include that. Plus, it makes it more fun!

The bass audio I recorded and used was all done in one take, so it’s not completely perfect. However, I did use video from 3 separate takes, in case you want to take me to task on the details! 😉
