"Dar Disku digs deep into their crates to share the sounds of a long-spanning cultural dialogue between India and the MENA region. The “spice trade route” was symbolic of hundreds of years worth of sharing heritage by means of art, language, food and most prominently music. Families in India started to learn about the likes of Fairuz and Cheb Khaled, whilst homes in Bahrain began to become fans of bappi lahiri and Bollywood. This mix is an homage to not only this cultural phenomenon but also our personal roots. We hope you enjoy it!"
