Ian Clark, Low Density Supersonic Decelerator (LDSD) Principal Investigator, narrates balloon launch, rocket firing and parachute testing on June 28, 2014. The LDSD is a concept for slowing a spacecraft entering Mars' atmosphere at supersonic speeds. For this test, the goal was to slow the test vehicle from four times the speed of sound to 2.5 times the speed of sound.My NASA playlist:
