Some scientists claim to have captured a strange glowing phenomenon, something like an aura emerging from the human body using their instruments. You might’ve seen viral reports on the internet suggesting this too. But what exactly is this mysterious light that appears in living beings but vanishes after death and that isn’t just body heat?

This very question intrigued a brilliant Japanese scientist, Masaki Kobayashi from Tohoku University, back in 2009. To find the answer, he conducted a groundbreaking experiment on this so-called “human light”. Little did he know, his discovery would shake the way we perceive reality.

Interestingly, many scientists at the time believed no scientific evidence could ever prove the existence of a soul or consciousness and they conducted experiments to support that view. But Masaki wasn’t fully convinced. What did he know about this mysterious light that others didn’t? So, was Masaki Kobayashi just measuring light, or was he witnessing something far deeper?
Is this strange glow just a biological glitch, or the first glimpse of the human soul?
And if something truly leaves the body when we die, what exactly are we?
