Commissioner Simms, DFD leadership and members of Detroit City Council to welcome and congratulate 45 new Detroit Fire cadets. 12 of these cadets will receive their badges today and will no longer be considered probationary firefighters. This is DFD's second graduation this year, bringing the total number of Detroit Firefighters up to nearly 1200. This will help the City of Detroit respond to fire and medical emergencies even faster.
