Ingredients:
Onion 1 piece.
Vegetable oil 3 tablespoons.
Turmeric 1/2 teaspoon.
Flour 1 tablespoon.
Pumpkin 400 grams.
Zira 1/4 teaspoon.
Ground black pepper 1/4 teaspoon.
Tomato 2 pieces.
Chili pepper to taste.
Lentils 180 grams.
Chicken broth (or water) 1.5 liters.
Salt to taste.
Finely chop the onion and fry in vegetable oil for 2-3 minutes. Add turmeric and flour, fry until the flour begins to darken. I add chopped pumpkin, cumin and black pepper. Fry until the pumpkin is slightly soft. Add tomatoes and chili flakes (OPTIONAL). I fry it a little and add the washed lentils. Add broth or water, salt to taste and cook covered over medium heat until tender. Then I grind it with a blender. Lentil soup is ready!
I add a piece of boiled chicken and a couple of slices of lemon to the finished dish (you can tear off the label from the lemon, but I need your comments, so I’ll leave it 😄)
