U.S President Joe Biden has reiterated his country's support to India's bid for permanent membership of the UN Security Council. Addressing the UN General Assembly, Biden made it clear that there is a need to reform and expand the UNSC. White House later issued a statement saying that Biden has historically supported India, Germany among others for a permanent seat at the UNSC. This also comes hours after S Jaishankar explained why it is important for India to be at the UNSC during an interaction at Columbia University in New York. Watch this video for more details. Except for China, the United States along with Russia, France and United Kingdom have always been supportive of India's UNSC bid.
