Walgreens has agreed to pay at least $300 million in a settlement with the U.S. Department of Justice after the pharmacy chain was accused of illegally filling millions of prescriptions in the last decade for opioids and other controlled substances. The government alleges that Walgreens ignored red flags that the prescriptions were illegal and filled them anyway.
